Basketball Offensive Drills - 300 shots

Description:

Players must work together to make 300 shots in 5 minutes. Taking shots alternating at opposite ends of the gym.

Instructions:

All players start at mid court with a ball, coach blows the whistle to start the clock players take off dribbling the ball towards the basket at either end. They can shoot from anywhere, except a lay up. They may only take one shot then must go to the basket at the other end of the court.

They must keep track of the number of shots they make. They may take only 5 lay-ups in the five minutes. They must try to make 300 shots as a team.

For example if you have 15 players they must each make 20 shots in that 5 minutes. For each basket under 300 they pay a penalty (Push up, sprint, sit up etc.)

Number of Players:

1 ball per player

Tips:

You can change the amount needed depending upon the level of your team. We often start with 200 and work our way up to 300.

Work on shooting as they get tired, simulating late game action.
