Rebounding drill under pressure with outlet passing.
Have four rebounders under one basket. Have two other players positioned on either side of the basket ready for an outlet pass. Coach will take shot and create rebound, four players under basket will box-out and rebound. Player who gets rebound should immediately get out of pressure from other three rebounders by either smart dribbling--then passing, pivoting--and then passing, or a straight pass to one of the outlet players. The other three players who do not get the rebound should swarm the successful rebounder and make it difficult with out fouling.
Watch for proper boxing out by players under the basket. Be aware of the physical play under the rim. Make sure the rebounder with the ball makes quick, smart decisions after the rebound, no bad passes, no double dribbling or traveling--no losing their cool.
Have the guard receiving the outlet pass dribble up and take the next shot, and then either hustle back to position, or rotate another player in.
Winning rebounder, if he gets the pass off successfully, rotates out, or accumulate points, then out after they reach the set amount.
Boxing out, rebounding, making quick, smart decisions
