Players perform skills for points. Example 10 players or 5 pairs execute elbow to elbow jumpers. Coach sets limit of 10 makes per man, 20 as a pair. Team that finishes first calls out 4 and receive 4 points. 2nd place calls 3 etc. Last place team receives no points.
Post moves, Shooting, Shooting off dribble, Rebounds and Put-backs, Drives to basket, are some ideas. Coach decides which skills he wants to highlight
Best in Pairs
The points must be written so the players can see who is winning. It gets pretty competitive. This is a good drill for active regeneration after a game or to sharpen up a bit before a game.
Have players perform drill but add free throw requirement.
Example. 10 drop steps baseline 5 left 5 right. Make a ball fake (Show+go). Ball must be bounce passed into post by your partner. 10 makes each. Then go to FT line and shoot series of 2 each. 6 out +2 for a miss. Coach decides +2 on odd or even miss before drill starts
Offensive -Defensive (Coaches fantasy is the limit)
