Coach O'Neill has coached at every level of basketball, from high school to the NBA. He believes that fundamentals help players get better, which makes the team better and leads to more wins. His passing drills are done with an emphasis on passing and catching with two hands and two eyes. Eight passing drills combine technique with in game type situations. The hand off is taught in the half court and is becoming a big part of the game. O'Neill introduces the half court passing drill, a combination of passing, shooting and cutting. O'Neill's shooting drills start with the elbow pin-down with and without dribble and he adds the catch and sweep, fade cut and shot, dribble pull up, curl shot and shot fake and shoot. He includes the backboard tip, Mikan drill, full speed lay-ups, baseline power move, middle drives, crossover drives, elbow spin dribble, hand off and lay-up, pull up shot, hesitation dribble, behind the back and the crossover dribble.
