Last I saw, this site was changing its name to something like five-star basketball. Personally, I used to visit it alot, but I haven't looked at it in over a year now.

Alan Lambert sold Basketball Highway to Five-Star. Lambert ran the site for a while, but then took another job. Five-Star did not maintain the site and has decided to concentrate on other things. So, there is a giant void.

However, A good site for youth basketball is www.thecrossovermovement.com. All kinds of information on training players, coaching, dribble motion offense, movement skills, presses. There is also a weekly newsletter.

I like www.coachesclipboard.net and www.hoopsu.com. A few good things from www.coachlikeapro.com. BUT THE ULTIMATE SITE IS [coachingbball.proboards106.com]
You can upload clinic notes from coaches from all over. It's free to join and i've never received any spam from them. I HIGHLY recommend this site.

Hey, this site has some good tips to increase your vertical leap. So if you want some exercises to do that you can check out [www.howtojumphigherfast.com]

Hope that helps, later

What do you think BasketballCoach.com should add to it's site to make it better?

I think a clinic notes section would be good. Maybe a drills library?

BasketballCoach.com

+ streaming videos
+ forum

- forum structure (should be divided into sections, "offense", "defence" etc., now it's just one big mess)

[www.fiba.com] has some good things...

I would love to see more online clinics. But all of the items you mentioned are great. Seems like you did an online clinic a couple of years ago.

Drills library would be great, and I agree that more structure in the forums would be awesome

Blogs would definitely be great!
Also interesting would be online clinics.
About the forum, I personally prefer like it is right now with all the new topics grouped together.

We have been discussing new forum categories. The current plan is for:
Offensive Discussion
Defensive Discussion
Coaching Discussion
Coaching Notes
DVD Discussion

Are we missing anything? Does anyone have any other ideas that we are missing?

Thanks to the BasketballCoach.com community!

I like the on-line clinic/video idea. How about charging less to watch videos on-line? Wait, bad idea. I'm not get anything done at work!

Seriously, how about putting videos on here to rent? You pay a fee to watch it one time. If you don't like it, you are only out your "rental" fee. Maybe even a membership per year and get unlimited access.

In fact bbhigh.com is one of the best basketball websites. Unfortunately is has vanished. www.coachesclipboard.net is one of my favorites.
