This drill involves one player with two basketballs for a minute and thirty seconds. Good offseason drill with a coach charting or player can do this on his own.
Player starts under hoop and two ball dribbles with intensity to three point line, where he places down one of the basketballs.
Player then spins the other ball out and catches the ball in triple threat position. Player then must make a strong pump fake and rip through move into a jump shot or lane floater with no back board.
Player then sprints and picks up second ball, again in triple threat position. Player now makes a jab step move to create separation and must get proper angle to use the glass on his second shot.
Player then retrieves both balls, and two ball dribbles to another area of the court at the three point line and repeats drill until minute and 30 seconds is up.
At end of time, player must make ten free throws, not take ten, make ten.
One player and two basketballs
Have coach make sure ball fakes are strong and rip move is a low sweeping move to avoid travel.
Dribbling can be alternate pounding of two balls, or have player pound both together. Stress head up on the dribbling
None
