Basketball Rebounding Drills - Block and Box

Description:

Two players underneath, Rebounder 1 and Rebounder 2. One player at right side foul line-Passer and one side on left side of the foul line - Shooter. Passer passes to shooter, shooter should have feet positioned to take jump shot without a dribble. R1 and R2 fight for the rebound. Lets say R1 got it, he feeds Passer. Passer passes again to Shooter. R2 must step out and pressure shooter and then go for the rebound. After ten shots everyone rotates position.

Instructions:

Rebounders must feed passer quickly and in turn passer must feed shooter quickly. Shooter never dribbles. The drill allows you to work on several skills at once. Passing, shooting without a dribble, shooting with pressure, blocking out, getting around the block out. You can add an element of competition by having each shooter count how many baskets he scores out of ten shots. The drill usually gets the team spirit up as the rebounders go at it.
