Wayne,

I am getting ready for my first year as a HS coach and my two highest scorers are post players and I know that teams will be playing box and 1 or triangle and 2 on us. Can you also send me the packet?

Thanks!

I like simple principles that don't require something entirely new and different to teach. No offense to Wayne, but at the HS (and MS) levels we (or at least I) don't have enough time to teach multiple special offenses. So instead I work off of principles.

We run a 3 out 2 in with the guarded players on the blocks to create 4 on 2 as previously stated. Also us the guarded players are screeners. The defense is unlikely to switch off of the screener, so it should be easier to get players open. In addition, screening causes confusion and you may get them open anyway.

If the other 3 players can't "hit the ocean from the beach", then you have problems.

Coach,

I would love to see the info on triangle and two. We got beat at state by it and it the only area where I feel I am not that strong and prepared for!

Thanks so much!

I would like to see what you have on offense against a triangle and 2. Anything where the guard is double teamed.

My two best shooters are my pt. guard and shooting guard.
Teams are playing a triangle and 2 on us. Any ideas
on how to defeat the triangle and 2 defense?

Coach Walters or anybody else that has received his packet. Please send along to me. I'm a first year coach and my team faced a triangle-and-2 and I felt like I didn't have them prepared to face it. We won the game, but it was ugly!

My email is iwelty@portville.wnyric.org

Thanks in advance and good luck this season.

I'm in same situation. i have a good PG and SG, my SF is pretty good, but my inside game is a little weak. Playing a team next wk that plays the triangle on it and we have struggled. I have run our man motion, our motion zone, but with limited success. Anything you may have that I can throw in would be appreciated.

thanks
